example of seating wall that creates a sense of elevation change

seat walls

Seat walls, built with modular block or natural stone, are a simple way to include additional seating around a fire pit, water feature, or on the edge of a patio or outdoor living space.

Seat walls are low, with an average height of 18”, and the top of the wall (seat) should be a minimum of 12” wide. Although usually free-standing, these seat walls can retain soil in a plant bed or create an elevation change.
