A PROJECT TO BOOST EXPERIENCE
When we were asked to build a space focused on enhancing customer experience at Chandler Hill Vineyard, we knew we’d be perfect for the job. Elevating the way our customers experience their outdoor living space is in our name and it’s in our DNA.
“At Chandler Hill, we pride ourselves on providing a phenomenal guest experience. This project prompted us to think about how we could elevate that.”
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The vast majority of this project was completed by our skilled in-house installation crews, but we also partnered with other skilled contractors due to the large size and scope of this project. This strategy of subcontracting other companies is vital to provide turn-key solutions and meet strict deadlines.
Here’s an inside look at some of the details of this project, as well as our tried and tested process that produces winning results for our customers.

The Transformation
BEFORE
It all starts with a design
When our design team started collaboration on ideas to create the perfect outdoor space for winery guests our lead designer, Mark, thought about the time he’s spent at the Chandler Hill vineyard. He mentions that they need a space that is functional for any application.
“Open concept with intimate areas to cater to a wide variety of events,” says Mark.
This is exactly what we delivered.
Jeff Wuerstl, the General Manager, expressed his appreciation for Mark’s design by saying, “I couldn’t be more pleased with the in-house design team who really helped us see this thing before it even started.”
DESIGN
Materials selected for a purpose
Every material selected for this project had a key role in making this space unique and sought after by the guests who come to this venue. From the craftsmanship of the red cedar pergolas to the vibrant colors of the planting, each material was selected with a purpose – to provide Chandler Hill visitors a destination point to relax, entertain, and enjoy the sights and sounds of Missouri wine country.
AFTER
The finished project
From the initial design to the final material installation, we’re happy to say that this project is finished and thriving. We’ve heard many friends and customers say that they loved our work when they visited the winery, and there’s nothing better than to see your creation come to life. Jeff emphasized his experience with Elevate Outdoor by saying, “It didn’t just feel like a transaction – it felt like the start of a great relationship!”
We’re happy for the guests at Chandler Hill Winery to enjoy this outdoor space for years to come.

FAQs
How much should I expect to spend on landscaping?
The cost of landscaping is difficult to generalize without site-specific information and an understanding of the specific vision for your home. However, Realtors published an article that states that a homeowner can expect to spend between 10-12% of the cost of their home on landscaping. We have found that for many projects, this is a fairly accurate projection, however, many projects are above or below that average based on the homeowner’s objectives, specific site requirements, and finished material selections.
Can I complete my project in phases?
Absolutely. We work with homeowners on a regular basis to create phasing plans for their projects. We will phase a project to meet the clients’ initial budget goals, while maintaining a cohesive design that can be flawlessly completed in 2 stages or 10, based on your specific needs.
How do I care for my plants after they are installed by Elevate?
There’s typically not a lot of maintenance in the first year or two after plants are installed. The above ground growth is minimal as the plants are trying to get root establishment as vigorously as possible.
Most plants require at least a light pruning each year (spring and fall are best) and it may be necessary to remove some dead wood or dormant material after the winter season.
The most important thing you can do to care for your plants is adhere to a strict watering plan, especially within the first year after installation. Click here to learn more about how to water your plants.
