A Private Escape, Inspired by the World
For a client accustomed to travel and world-class destinations ,the goal was never just a backyard—it was a retreat. Set on more than two acres, Paramount Poolscape was designed to capture the feeling of stepping away from the noise of everyday life and into something personal, peaceful, and elevated.
Each design choice draws inspiration from experiences gathered abroad—resort calm, effortless flow, and spaces that invite you to slow down. The result is a place that feels both familiar and transportive, offering a sense of escape without ever leaving home.

The Transformation
BEFORE
A family retreat
The homeowners were faced with a large, underutilized outdoor area that felt empty and uninspiring, offering little opportunity for meaningful use. Their goal was to transform this blank space into an engaging environment that could support a variety of activities for the entire family.
DESIGN
The design
Rather than leaving the space as a single expanse, the layout breaks it into clearly defined zones that flow together seamlessly.
Drawing inspiration from their travels around the world and the scale of the site, the design introduces a gunite pool, a pool house with a bathroom, and layered recreation areas including a fire pit and a pergola — creating a destination rather than just an open yard.
Â
AFTER
The result
Through close collaboration between the homeowners, designers, and builders, the project came together as a unified effort focused on both function and experience.
The result is a modern, thoughtfully crafted outdoor environment that supports everyday family life. One that truly elevated their expectations.
FAQs
How much should I expect to spend on landscaping?
The cost of landscaping is difficult to generalize without site-specific information and an understanding of the specific vision for your home. However, Realtors published an article that states that a homeowner can expect to spend between 10-12% of the cost of their home on landscaping. We have found that for many projects, this is a fairly accurate projection, however, many projects are above or below that average based on the homeowner’s objectives, specific site requirements, and finished material selections.
Can I complete my project in phases?
Absolutely. We work with homeowners on a regular basis to create phasing plans for their projects. We will phase a project to meet the clients’ initial budget goals, while maintaining a cohesive design that can be flawlessly completed in 2 stages or 10, based on your specific needs.
How do I care for my plants after they are installed by Elevate?
There’s typically not a lot of maintenance in the first year or two after plants are installed. The above ground growth is minimal as the plants are trying to get root establishment as vigorously as possible. Â
Most plants require at least a light pruning each year (spring and fall are best) and it may be necessary to remove some dead wood or dormant material after the winter season. Â
The most important thing you can do to care for your plants is adhere to a strict watering plan, especially within the first year after installation. Click here to learn more about how to water your plants.Â
